The meetings are pretty laid back with the emphasis on meeting and greeting each other over a cuppa and just enjoying the friendship that comes with building up relationships. Our topic of study and discussion is on PRAYER. Our new study is a follow on from “War rooms, its called Armour of God .
We have a ‘womens group only’ that meets once a month on a Saturday morning at various venues. Sometimes in a cafe, we have also walked the “loop’ and finished it off with coffee at The Town Basin. This again is a great way to get to know each other.

Many of our men join together with The Salvation Army Mens breakfast which meets on the first Saturday each month at their Corps headquarters in Aubrey St Whangarei. 7.30am. $5 for a good cooked breakfast and great company.
We also at times support the Recovery Church at The Salvation Army which meet every Friday evening at 6pm followed by a ‘cuppa’. We do on occasions take a more involved role.
On the 2nd Tuesday each month we hold a Onerahi Churches Combined Prayer Meeting at our local Presbyterian Church, St James. People from different churches meet in a corporative way to pray mostly for this beautiful suburb. Of course we also pray for needs on a greater scale.
We are very much involved with outreach. Not only in our area but also across the seas. We support many Christian and non-Christian organisations financially .
Currently we have started up again with our ‘Fresh Bread, butter and honey outreach. We simply call on homes in our church area and give free loaves of bread, butter and honey away to needy families.
We also have a fund in which we can draw on. This enables us to give boxes of groceries or petrol vouchers in times of emergency.
